“It was thrilling to be inside a beautiful church on a very warm, late summer evening and be able to listen to operatic excerpts played and sung with talent and gusto. The only downside was the heat and humidity. Admittedly this was probably more troublesome for a couple of elderly Brits from Northern Europe. There was a significant amount of fanning going on amongst the audience so it was a general distraction. Perhaps a couple more fans positioned around the periphery of the audience would have helped.
