“Communication was perfect. Pickup at hotel by Serena was punctual. At nearly 69 years old, I was clearly the oldest. The pace worked for me. Emi the guide was patient and helpful to the slower people. With the altitude, everyone was happy for breaks. Terrain varied: uneven icy snow, loose ash, some slightly muddy sections and hard back. Poles provided for stability. Excellent day!”

“The vulcanologist guide was very knowledgeable. The hike was quite rigorous, very windy and cold, but stunningly beautiful. The group size was a little too large, meaning you have to push to the front to hear the guide or miss out on the information, but this seemed true of all the guided groups.”
